He was appointed to the board of TWPH on 12 June 2007. He also serves as the Chairman of the Audit and Remuneration Committees and a member of Nomination and Risk Committees. He holds a diploma in Chemical Engineering, diploma in Applied Chemistry and is a member of Royal Australian Chemical Institute. A former Fellow of the Institute of Petroleum, he retired from the oil industry in 1994, after having worked for more than 32 years with BP Malaysia in the downstream sector, both locally and internationally. He was appointed to the Board of BP Malaysia in 1985 as its Marketing Director before retiring as its Executive Director for Commercial Business. He then joined Toyoma Aluminium Foil Packaging Sdn Bhd, a paper product manufacturing company as its Managing Director and retired in 2001. He headed the National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia as its Chief Executive Officer from 2002 to 2007. He was an elected council member of the Malaysian Employers Federation and a past chairman/convener of Safety, Health and Environment Committee of the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has no conflict of interest with the Group and has no family relationship with any director or major shareholder of the TWP Group.
